Matt and his wife Shelly live in Sherman. They have two children, Paige and Jake. Paige is a 2021 graduate of Williamsville High School and is now attending college at Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, Florida.  Jake is a 2023 graduate of Williamsville High School and is now attending college at Illinois State University in Normal,  Matt is currently in his 4th term of the WCUSD #15 School Board. Matt is a 1989 graduate of Williamsville High School. From there he went on to Western Illinois University where he received his BS. After graduating, Matt went to work for the State of Illinois (Capital Development Board) where he was a construction manager. In 1998, Matt and Shelly moved to Dallas where Matt began his career in the financial services industry, working with Citigroup, selling investments, insurance and mortgage products. In 2006 they moved back to Sherman with their two children to get closer to family and raise their children where they grew up.
