The Williamsville Sports Boosters presented a $10,449 check to Superintendent Don Beard at the varsity basketball game
Friday night as a donation to the Dave Root Memorial Fund. The sports boosters sold T-shirts and sweatshirts in honor of Superintendent Root this past year.  The Sherman and Williamsville communities were very supportive and, due to their generosity, this gracious donation was able to be made to the fund.  Superintendent Root was a huge proponent of the Sports Boosters and supported all of their efforts. How the money will be used has yet to be determined. The Williamsville CUSD 15 Athletic Department is proud to announce that all seven varsity teams from the 2016 Fall season have been awarded the IHSA Team Academic Achievement Award. In order to be eligible for this award, a team must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. The bar has always been set high at Williamsville High School in terms of success for both academics and athletics.
